Besides shooting beautiful videos, the arrival of cheap drones has also created a rise in aerial photography.
Dronestagram recently hosted a photo contest for the best photos shot with a drone. The sponsors of the competition were also impressive. From GoPro to National Geography!

The prizes given out were quite impressive as well:
- 1st Prize: 1 DJI Phantom 2 + GoPro Black Edition + $200 offered on a print on canvas, aluminum or plexiglas. Also a feature on the National Geographic website + the Photo published on the French National Geography edition.
- 2nd Prize: 1 Parrot AR.Drone Elite Edition Sand + $140 offered on a print on canvas, aluminum or plexiglas.
- 3rd Prize: 1 Parrot AR.Drone Elite Edition Sand + $100 offered on a print on canvas, aluminum or plexiglas.
